The True Value of an Executive Jet

When you picture an executive jet, what comes to mind? Perhaps posh leather seats and a glass of champagne? Men and women in power suits relaxing? Gourmet meals rolled on platters?

Luxury is the first thing that comes to mind for many Americans, but in the world of business, a private jet is far more than a pleasant perk. Private jets became closely associated with winning companies for a reason: they offer unique advantages at the executive level that are not matched by any other method of transit.

Every business leader knows that an executive’s most important role is networking. This includes private receptions and social events, as well as major public occasions. Ideally these events would always be planned well in advance, but oftentimes opportunities come unannounced: the spontaneous invitation from a valuable contact, or the late-breaking change in a PR plan, for example.

Compounding this is the global nature of business. Friday’s gala may not be in the same city as Wednesday’s conference – or even on the same continent. Putting key executives in the right place at the right time is a large part of public relations and high level networking. This is why companies have come to rely so heavily on the executive jet.

In the world of business, any lost opportunity translates to lost profit. While private jets can be seen as a luxury or a perk, a successful company will view them as far more than that: a chance to bridge gaps, extend reach, and maximize impact.

Before making a final decision as to which document storage Chicago facility that you select, take the time to carefully review your options. Your important personal financial information or business documents needs to be kept securely inside of a facility that you are confident in.

People opt to use a document storage facility for both personal and business needs. Many people do not have a place to keep tons of paperwork inside of their homes. However, you will need to keep your tax returns for the past seven years. If your returns contain a ton of paperwork you might be better off finding a storage facility that will keep them secure for you for a low monthly rate.

Businesses not only have a ton of tax paperwork that they must keep on file but they will need to keep records of their transactions and signed sales receipts as well. Trying to contain all of these items for a number of years can add up to a lot of paperwork. It is easy to become disorganized when you are trying to contain a large number of files in a confined space. Businesses looking to keep order with their paperwork can benefit tremendously from using the services of a professional document storage facility.

Review your options and select a storage facility that will best fulfill your personal or business needs when it comes to keeping your paperwork secure and organized. It will be much easier for you to retrieve documents in the event that you need to procure them.

Unforgettable Centerpieces

I’m not usually one to brag but since it is almost Mardi Gras season I have to tell you about the single most epic party I have ever thrown. It all started with the idea of Mardi Gras centerpieces and, from there, my natural genius took it away.

First off, if you don’t know what a Mardi Gras centerpiece is, picture this. The table at a party needs some kind of decorations, right? Well, imagine if the centerpiece towers up over you as tall as a person. Some are smaller, but a lot aren’t. usually they comprise a bunch of balloons or plumage, or both, and are surrounded with streamers or boas swirling up in a spiral pattern. But sometimes they are decorated with Mardi Gras masks, and that is what gave me my best idea.

I had two big tables out, one with snacks and one with drink mixers. I talked to four of my female friends and got them to agree to help out. Meticulously, I wrapped each of them in streamers and plumage like a centerpiece. Of course, that is all they were wearing, so everything had to be placed just right. Then they donned their masks and we covered them in metallic body paint. Two of them stood motionless on the tables as centerpieces. After about 30 minutes the other two traded places so they wouldn’t get tired.

Of course it took forever to repay the favor, but I think they liked the attention. Everyone we know talks about that party to this day!

Wall fountains and ancient mental health

In modern day offices and homes wall fountains are appearing everywhere. They have become common fixtures in entryways and reception areas across the modern world, and smaller table fountains are a familiar sight to see on concierge desks or in private offices—a long way from manicured gardens or bustling city monuments. Why have these fixtures become, well, fixtures in these vastly diverse habitats and what advantages do they have?

Water signals peace and security to the human psyche. The reason why is fairly comprehensible. River valleys are comparatively safe, comfortable spots. Crops can be irrigated, drinking water is easily accessible, travel is easy, and game animals frequent the area in order to drink. Therefore the sound of moving water causes a calming sensation, working off of our instinctual knowledge that to be near running water is to be safe and materially secure.

In an office setting this one little effect can be enough to color an employee’s whole daily experience for the better, reducing the impact of stress and panic (which are all too abundant in the modern workplace) and instead offering assurance of safety and tranquility.

The visual effect of a wall fountain is no less. Offices are dead, static environments that no twenty year old fichus can resurrect. However, water is cleansing and ever-new. Not only does the fountain humidify and clean the air as it works, reducing the static smell, but it offers an endlessly moving visual focus-point that actually eases the mind when it faces a day off staring at monotonously flickering screens. Water is alive, it is healing, and it is easy to find a fountain to fit whatever space needs its special charm.

Sleeping in a mattress is something that we all do every night, but many people wish the process was less allergenic and more restful. Allergy mattress pads are one solution, so if you are one of the millions of people who suffer from nighttime allergies in America, then you are definitely not alone. There are certainly some things that you can do to help yourself out in the process of finding a great product that will improve your day to day life, or night to night life, for that matter, so get started today.

There are plenty of things to consider when it comes to shopping for allergy mattress pads, but one of the most important things to keep in mind is comfort. Many of these places can boast materials, anti-allergenic properties, but the most important part of any product of this nature is whether or not it is a joy to rest upon. That is why it is of the utmost importance that you read plenty of online reviews that describe the level of comfort the customer felt when testing out the product.

This is one of the few downsides to online shopping, but with a few raving reviews, it will be hard not to use the online world to help satisfy the problems that you experience every night before you drift off to sleep. Make sure that you are doing all that you can to improve the quality of the sleep you are getting and recognize the difference such a thing can make in your daily, functioning life.

Understanding Risk vs. Reward from Equity Investors

It is important to understand your risk vs. your potential reward when it comes to equity investing. By hiring professional equity investors to handle your accounts you will have a much better idea of what to expect from your investments.

Investing in equities can be a smart move. Basically, you will be putting your money into business stocks. As the businesses grow or improve, the stocks will go up. Should the businesses decline or go bankrupt you can lose out on your entire investment. This is one of the reasons why it is worthwhile to have a professional to handle your accounts. Their guidance will prove to be instrumental to your overall success in the equities market.

It is important to convey your investment needs to your investor. If you prefer to take on higher risk investments so that you have an increased potential for profit, let your investor know that you would be willing to take on some risk. If you prefer to see smaller profits by sticking to minimal risk investments, convey your personal preferences to your investor. A good investor will make you and your needs his or her number one priority when it comes to making investments with your money.

While there is no such thing as a one hundred percent sure investment you can make, you can minimize the amount of money you lose by following the advice of a professional. Let an equity investor handle your account so that you can get the best possible results.

Understanding the Use of Central Vacuums

It seems like every few years a domestic technology comes along that you question whether or not is really useful. Laser discs, intercoms and clap-on lights have all made unsuccessful runs at being the next invention to revolutionize home living. So it’s understandable to express doubts about central vacuums being the natural progression past the traditional push-unit that sits in your home’s utility closet. After all, won’t having wall inlets and pipes placed throughout your home be costly and may even reduce the resale value in the long run? The short answer is no. The installation process can incur a considerable invoice, yes, but that price is typically comparable or even lower than what it could cost to buy a high-end portable vacuum. Plus, the resale value of your home can actually increase an average of $2,000 in the right market.

The headache of tangled cords and small receptacles are what drive most people away from keeping up with the chore of vacuuming their house. Finding a well-placed wall outlet to that will allow you to cover an entire carpeted area is easier said than done, and even if you can suck up most of the dirt and debris, you probably won’t be able to get into every knock, cranny and baseboard. A centralized vacuum system is not only more powerful than a portable model, but it also offers an array of useful wand extensions that will not only efficiently clean your carpet, but your drapes and furniture as well.

If you opt to try out e cigarettes, you are certainly going to be in for a pleasant surprise. One of the reasons why this is the case has to do with the fact that they have been especially formulated to be as much like real cigarettes as possible. You definitely will not feel like you need the tobacco kinds of smoking products any longer once you see that smoking electronically is essentially the same thing, without all of the harmful side effects.

Plus, the e cigarettes give you total versatility and freedom in terms of choosing the best one for you. One of the things you can do is to choose varying strengths of nicotine. If you’re only an occasional smoker, don’t go overboard. You probably just need an average strength to maintain your levels of satisfaction.

However, if you smoke over a pack per day, then you probably should start out with a kit that contains the most nicotine on the market these days. This is going to ultimately be to your advantage on account of the fact that you will not have to worry about finding a way to put an end to your physical cravings at all. Rather, you will not miss the tobacco whatsoever.

Another thing you could do is to try out some of the most popular flavors. These days, the electronic cigarettes come in vanilla, hazelnut or even mint. If you loved smoking flavored tobacco in the past for a change of pace, then you will absolutely fall in love with the fact that your electronic cigarettes can satisfy these cravings.

When you make the choice to purchase some used Cisco parts for a retail establishment, you are doing something that is going to serve to protect your customers from any type of security issue. This is something that is definitely a selling point, so if you invest in these products, you should make an effort to let your customers know. They will feel much better about giving you their credit card information as a result.

The used Cisco parts will also offer a robust firewall system to segment cardholder information from the rest of the network. Obviously, you don’t need such stringent safety requirements on the entire network, but when it comes to the security of your customers, this is something that you should make a priority.

Beyond that, the VPN capabilities built into the routing solutions will encrypt and protect all of this credit card information as it transverses the network. You could tell your customers a brief outline of these security measures. This is something that it important since you should be able to give people a sense of security if they choose to spend some money with your company.

The Cisco system is perfect for any kind of small business like a coffee shop, or even a medium-sized restaurant. Either way, you will see that this cost-effective solution is going to be well worth the investment once you see that it is easy to give your customers the protection they deserve. Most people like to use credit cards when they make large purchases, and you should give them the comfort and peace of mind that they deserve.

There’s More to Cafes Than Espresso Machines

March 5, 2011 in Food and Drink | Comments (0)

There was once a time when preparing a drink with espresso machines at the local cafe was a labor of love for each of the baristas behind the counter. Each and every cup needed to be prepared individually, with the baristas laboring to grind the beans to exactly the right consistency, and packing them into the basket at precisely the right density to make them right. The milk or creamer would be very carefully steamed, and pouring it into the drink was (and in many places still is) an art form that created beautiful designs and the iconic cappuccino or latte look with the cream leaves.

These days using espresso machines is a matter of slapping a pre-packaged basket of ground coffee into a filter, pressing a button, and making sure not to slop the milk when dumping it into the cup.

What happened? A huge part of the draw of espressos is the exotic luxury that they entail, the hard work that they require to be prepared right, the dedication and love put into each cup! Yet we live in a disposable consumer culture, a society where everything is mass produced and sold as fast and cheap as possible. Long and complicated preparations may be great for romantic coffee lovers, but they are terrible for business. Thanks to the rise of McCafes across the country (and globe) we are now losing this individualized and artistic view of cafes in favor of big gulp lattes and fast brewed espresso shots that are dumped into the cheapest, ugliest instant coffee imaginable for the sake of speed and profit.

This does not have to be the case. You have the power to reverse this tide of cheaply produced lattes for mass consumption simply by choosing your cafe carefully. Do you go to the franchise joint on every corner, or do you buy local? Are your baristas carefully trained in the art of preparing coffee, or are they cogs in a swift machine who are measured in terms of speed, rather than quality? Your money talks, and if you want to keep espressos an art form instead of a value item it’s up to you to spend it in the right places.
